ANEGUNDI is best place for Tourism of Gangavathi Taluk.

Anegundi is situated on the bank of the river Tungabadra and is surrounded by rocky mountains. Anjanadri Hill ,near Anegundi is believed to be the birth place of monkey god Hanuman. In  Ramayan,this place was Khiskinde and birth place of great Vaali and His brother monkey king Sugriva of Ramayan Fame.

Anegundi and its tranquil environs are dotted with forgotten temples and Fortifications. We can cross the Tungabadra at Talari Gatta near Gagan Mahal to reach world famous Hampi.Earlier Anegundi was the capital of Vijayanagar. Later the capital was shifted to Hampi From Anegundi.

Kanakagiri is another place for tourism is located in Gangavathi Taluk.Here We can seen Historical KanakaRaya Temple.This Pplace is located at 21K.M. from Gangavathi City.
